A Little Story Behind the Stitch
Hey there, wonderful community!
It’s your go-to fiber artist here, and I’m bursting with excitement to share a journey that turned into my latest labor of love — handmade scrunchies! 🎀
This all began one Easter during a family get-together. While planning fun little games and favors for guests, I decided to create spa-themed baskets for the adults (while the kids enjoyed their egg hunt). Somewhere between fabric scraps, laughter, and the hum of creativity… the scrunchie era began!
The Birth of the Scrunchie Collection
My sewing adventures started years ago, but had mostly been resting quietly behind the scenes while crochet and knitting took center stage. That changed when my daughters began showing interest in sewing — and suddenly, our creative table was covered in fabric again.
Those first few scrunchies were meant as cute additions to the Easter baskets, but once I started making them, I couldn’t stop. Turning leftover fabric into something both beautiful and useful lit up my creative side in a whole new way.
Soon, I was sketching fabric ideas for every season and holiday — and the Scrunchie Luxe Collection was born.
